Castro, an icon of the Cold War who built a communist state on the doorstep of the United States and defied half a century of U.S. efforts to topple him, died late on Friday at the age of 90. The Cuban government has declared a nine-day period of mourning and suspended alcohol sales and even baseball games.

The town of al-Rai, which is 2 km (1 mile) south of Turkey's Kilis border province, is in an area under the control of Turkey-backed rebels and was seized from Islamic State militants in Ankara's "Euphrates Shield" operation launched in August. Local sources said the explosion was caused by a vehicle-borne bomb which killed several people, according to Turkey's Dogan news agency.

All three claimed allegiance to the Islamic State group. Bahrain Agam was arrested in northern Aceh province late Saturday and Saiful Bahri was captured in Banten province on Sunday, Amar said.
